Shofu
At KC Dental Lab, we use Shofu products and continue our interest in additional products to make our dental laboratory even better. Shofu quality has been known for years to set a standard for dental laboratory products. Porcelains have been manufactured for dentistry since 1922 in Kyoto, Japan, a city historically renowned for porcelain artistry (Shofu Dental Corporation). Makoto Yamamoto continues to be closely involved in the development of all new lab-based restorative products. Technicians at KC Dental lab try their best to offer flawless quality with Shofu products.
Ceramosonic S
We use Ceramosonic S, which is an ultrasonic condenser for all porcelain materials. The Ceramosonic S improves both aesthetics and physical properties by condensing the porcelain. Some benefits of this product are: reducing shrinkage to below 5%, enhancing quality of fired ceramic, augmenting translucency and it also improves density. In order to achieve best aesthetic results, we check the temperature that is displayed and calibrate it to correct firing temperature in firing chamber. Furnace temperature can be checked with fine gold. Fine gold melts at 1064C. For less shrinkage, we always use Shofu\\\'s original modeling liquid.
